The file you have downloaded is probably corrupt or incomplete. Go to http://www.v3mail.com to re-download the installation file.
How come no program launches when I double click on a file attachment?
The file doesn't have a program registered to open it. To create a file association, open up the Windows file explorer and double click on a similar filetype ( with the same .xxx extension ) and select the program you want to open it with.
Another way you can create a file association is to open up the Windows file explorer and select the menu View->(folder)Options then the File Types tab. Finally, create the new file association.

Why does the video window constantly flicker when I try to create a video message?
The video device you are using is incompatible with V3mail. Despite the fact that the camera supports Video For Windows, it won't record video messages or take snapshots. You will have to use a different device.
When I click the Video button, I get the message, "The Specified Video Device was not Detected. . ." What's wrong?
First, make sure the Video Device is correctly powered up and connected to the computer system. Next ensure that you have selected the correct Video driver for the connected Video Device by selecting from the menu Options -> Video Driver. In most cases, the Video device is not connected properly to the computer. Otherwise you may have multiple Video drivers installed on your system and you have to select the one matching the connected Video device.

Your message recipient
needs to re-install the Multimedia component of the Windows installation. Your
message recipient should go to Start -> Settings
-> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Program. Click
on the Windows Setup tab. In the Components window put a solid
checkmark next to Multimedia. Click OK to continue.

1. Make sure the
microphone is connected to the "Mic in" input of your sound card and not the
"Line in" input.
2. Check to make sure the microphone line isn't muted. From the taskbar,
double click on the speaker icon on the taskbar. If the Mute checkbox is selected , unselect it.

You need to re-install
the Multimedia component of the Windows installation. Go to Start
-> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove
Program. Click on the Windows Setup tab. In the

I couldn't send my email. I received the message, "A connection to the SMTP server xxx.xx.xxx could not be established." What's wrong?
At the the time you are sending your email, your email server is either down or the server name is invalid. If you still can't send your email sometime later, then you need to change the server name specified in the program settings. Select the Menu Options->Program Settings and enter in the new server name or try the Auto configuration button to detect your settings.
